SAFER: Denying Patient Requests Based on Gender, Race, Age, and Other Personal Characteristics

In achieving Mayo Clinic’s goals of providing a safe, inclusive environment for all, while also providing the best care to patients at all times, requests from patients or visitors for a specific gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or other personal attribute of a staff member must not be granted except in certain limited circumstances.
