Bio:

Renee attended undergraduate at University of Colorado in Boulder, receiving a bachelor's degree in environmental biology. She attended medical school in Philadelphia at Jefferson medical college. From there she moved to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine, where she completed a residency in emergency medicine. She practiced community emergency medicine for 13 years until moving to Phoenix, where she is about to complete her Palliative fellowship. Fun facts about Renee are that she spent one summer working as a raft guide in Durango, CO, loves lobster rolls, and raising chickens for their fresh eggs.

 

Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be able to:

 

  • 1.         Demonstrate familiarity with common psychedelic medications.

    2.         Identify common risks and side effects of psychedelic therapy.

    3.         Appraise current literature in psychedelics in end-of-life care populations.
