Oncology Nursing Pharmacology Curriculum

This comprehensive course provides a foundational understanding of cancer pharmacology, focusing on key therapeutic classes and their roles in oncology nursing. Learners will explore the mechanisms of action, clinical applications, and nursing considerations for chemotherapy, biotherapy, monoclonal antibodies, receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) therapies. The course highlights unique drug-specific toxicities, side effect management, and safe administration practices across treatment types.
This content meets the criteria for the Commission on Cancer (CoC) Standard 4.2 Oncology Nursing Credentials.
