DESCRIPTION
This activity is held weekly on Mondays, 12:15 - 1:00 p.m. in Geffen Auditorium.

Neurology Grand Rounds are weekly conferences presented by Mayo and guest non-Mayo faculty, as well as senior residents. Topics presented encompass a wide array of neurologic concepts ranging from basic science work to the very clinical application of translational science research and finally our resident clinical pathological case conference.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for physicians, mid-level health care providers, nurses, and technologists.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe how to integrate new research information into clinical practice
  • Summarize how to utilize web-based searches for genetic investigation of neurological disease
  • Identify atypical forms of neurological diseases in patients
  • Review how to implement new diagnostic tests for neurological diseases
  • Describe information for patients on significance of new diagnostic tests and treatments for neurological disease
  • Identify and implement cutting edge treatment of neurological disease (multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons' disease, epilepsy, stroke, peripheral neuropathy, and others)
