Title: Updates in Stroke Management

Learning Objectives: Upon Conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • To demonstrate a practical, evidence-based treatment approach to stroke management from acute ischemic stroke interventions to secondary stroke prevention
  • To describe the changing definition of the therapeutic window in acute ischemic stroke
  • To summarize novel treatment approaches including endovascular intervention for large-vessel occlusion strokes, thrombolysis for wake-up stroke, tenecteplase as a thrombolytic option, and dual anti-platelet therapy for stroke prevention
