Title: “Emergency trauma airway management”

Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Assess the use of medication combinations to facilitate airway management in the traumatized patient, including the patient in shock.
  2. Review a standardize methodology for how to manage and secure an airway, including a pathway for the “difficult” airway.
  3. Analyze the importance of preoxygenation prior to airway attempts, and methods to preoxygenate.
