Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify and translate key features of research, development and innovation in the vascular and endovascular space and provide case studies of product development
- Summarize the role of military surgery in the history of vascular surgery innovation and provide current examples of the translation of wartime data to advances in civilian care
- Diagram the paths and pitfalls of regulatory approval and clinical adoption of newly developed vascular innovations as a means to spur new ideas and provide a framework for future research and development
