DESCRIPTION
This course will cover a broad range of both didactic and hands-on simulated learning topics in the cardiovascular specialty.  Sessions will cover assessment, diagnosis, and management of diverse cardiovascular patient populations, by applying current evidence-based studies and national guidelines, with case study discussions.  Sessions will range in length from 1 hour to 3 hours (most will be 1 hour).
 

TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is primarily cardiovascular NP/PA but any Allied Health Professional or MD interested in the cardiovascular topic presented are encouraged to attend if relevant to their professional practice.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Distinguish different subjective and objective/diagnostic findings of cardiovascular diseases and formulate appropriate differential diagnoses.
  2. Apply medical management principles of various cardiovascular diseases including but not limited to acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, and arrhythmias. 
  3. Compare patient outcome data for various cardiovascular diagnoses and summarize best practice methods to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
