DESCRIPTION
Monthly conference exposing participants to new frontiers of general surgery, updates on selected topics, exposure to faculty practices from other institutions in an interactive lecture based format.

TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audience is allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, scientists, students, and fellows. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Appraise indications and impact of new therapeutics and research on managing general surgery pathology.
  • Assess indications and use of new technology in general surgery procedures.
  • Recognize strategies for effective patient care in the team setting for general surgery patients. 
  • Assess the indications and use of new technology in general surgery procedures, with a focus on advances in robotic general surgery.
