The Mayo Clinic Sports Performance Clinic will introduce research-based content presented by certified sports performance practitioners in an effort to further equip and engage active learners in the continued development of their performance knowledge base.

Target Audience

This CME symposium is designed for physicians, physical therapists, performance/fitness coaches, athletic trainers, chiropractors, and other practitioners who evaluate and treat athletes and other active populations.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify the role that neurocognitive training plays in the rehabilitation following sports related injuries/surgery.
  2. Assess and prescribe linear speed training interventions tailored to the individual’s biomechanics in order to optimize performance.
  3. Identify common bike fitting recommendations that address biomechanical contributors to common cycling-related injuries.
  4. Recall how to integrate upper body plyometric training into the rehabiliation of overhead athletes.
