DESCRIPTION
Spine Trauma Conferences are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. in the Joseph 1-242 Sundt Conference Room.
This activity is a monthly conference focused on neurosurgical trauma as well as didactic lectures relevant to trauma (to be specified).
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is designed for providers, residents, and fellows. In addition, research personnel and other members of the care team may find the conference beneficial.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify unusual presentations and natural history of neurosurgical related trauma.
- Select appropriate differential diagnoses.
- Analyze appropriateness of diagnostic testing.
- Evaluate various treatment modalities (non-operatively and operatively) and adopt evidence-based practice.
- Develop a plan of care to incorporate best trauma practice for Neurosurgery trauma care.
