Neurodiversity-Informed Coaching
Dr. Vickers introduces the principles of neurodiversity-informed wellness coaching, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and honoring individual cognitive and sensory differences. Participants will explore how common neurodivergent traits can impact the coaching process and learn inclusive strategies to better support all clients. Through practical examples and reflection, coaches will gain tools to create more accessible, empowering, and effective coaching experiences.

Presenter: Kristin Vickers, PhD, LP
Kristin Vickers, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at Mayo Clinic, with specialty board certification in Clinical Health Psychology. She is active in training, supervision, and education leadership, and serves as the Program Director of the Mayo Clinic Medical Psychology Fellowship and Co-Chair of Education in the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology. She is a medical director and researcher within Mayo Health Education and Content Services. Her clinical work is in the primary care setting, where she provides consultation and treatment within an integrated behavioral health model of care. She has expertise in ADHD and neurodiversity and serves as the Executive Sponsor for the Mayo Employee Resource Group: Neurodiversity. Dr. Vickers has been recognized at Mayo Clinic with awards for teaching, leadership, and clinical care.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Define neurodiversity and describe its relevance in wellness coaching.
- Recognize that individual differences in executive functioning, communication, and sensory experience can impact coaching process and outcomes.
- Apply inclusive coaching strategies to support neurodivergent clients.

- Must attend and actively participate for the full session 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, CT. Only those who attend live gain access to:
- Complete a quiz, achieving a score of 100% or higher. (Two attempts allowed.)
- Complete a brief course survey. (Your feedback is greatly appreciated!)
- Access the certificate of attendance you may save/print for recertification purposes.
