Precepting is an important aspect to the social work profession to engage the next generation of employees. Preceptors play an important role to learners and help provide clinical guidance and encouragement. It is important to create a supportive learning environment and understand various learning styles. There are many aspects to being a successful and effective preceptor which is discussed in detail.
