Mayo Clinic Pulmonary Manifestations of Connective Tissue Disorders 2025 - Live (in-person)

Course Directors: Andy Abril, MD and Augustine Lee, MD
September 11-13, 2025 - Omni Amelia Island Resort - Amelia Island, Florida
Mayo Clinic's Pulmonary Manifestations of Connective Tissue Disorders 2024 is a three-day CME course designed to provide pulmonologists, rheumatologists, internists and general practitioners up-to-date information on pulmonary manifestations of rheumatologic disorders. From this course, participants discern how to recognize and diagnose interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension and other respiratory problems which are common in autoimmune rheumatologic disorders, and review the latest information regarding pathogenic mechanisms, clinical trials and therapeutic modalities. The speakers are nationally and internationally recognized specialists in the field. Residents and fellows have the opportunity to participate by submitting original studies for poster presentations.
Call for Abstracts
The Mayo Clinic's Pulmonary Manifestations of Connective Tissue Disorders 2025 course directors and planning committee members invite residents and fellows to submit an abstract proposal for a poster to be included in a poster session at the course, September 11-13, 2025.
Poster sessions will occur during morning breaks and lunch breaks on Thursday and Friday of the conference – accepted abstracts will be randomly assigned to one of the days. See conference website Program tab for designated break and lunch times.
Eligibility: Original abstracts that either have or have not been presented at other meetings will be considered. Previously published abstracts should be sufficiently modified. Abstracts are eligible if they have been published; abstracts based upon full papers that have been published are unfortunately not eligible. Abstracts will be evaluated based on the quality of the abstract, relevance to the conference theme, and teaching method.
Accepted posters will be presented in-person; virtual sessions will not be available.
Poster Proposals: Abstracts must be in the area of Rheumatology and/or Pulmonology. Any projects that pertain to the training and practice of rheumatology, pulmonology, or a focus on pulmonary manifestations of rheumatologic disorders are welcome. They may include guidelines, randomized trials, outcome studies, practice innovations, case studies, or descriptive analyses.
Applicants should provide a brief description of their work, including the theme and content.
