This webinar will clarify the different pathways to the U.S. and explain where and how medical and TB screening fit into each process. Attendees will gain a clear understanding of the immigration-related health requirements and the agencies involved.
Target Audience
This series is targeted to allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, residents/fellows, and civil surgeons as well as advanced practice providers, nurses, and allied health staff who help support civil surgeons and status adjusters.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Understand the different paths by which individuals arrive in the US
- Identify where, when, and how TB screening is performed for different categories of immigrants to the US
- Explain the civil surgeon’s role in screening certain categories of immigrants
