This webinar reviews common and severe adverse reactions to medications used in the treatment of active tuberculosis. Participants will learn to recognize common and severe drug-related side effects and develop a general approach to managing these complications. The course aims to enhance clinical decision-making to ensure safe and effective TB therapy. 

Target Audience

This course is designed for allied health professionals, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians, physician assistants, resident/fellows, and healthcare professionals working in a public healthcare setting.

Learning Objectives


Upon Completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Differentiate between adverse drug reactions and disease-related complications in patients undergoing tuberculosis treatment to ensure accurate diagnosis and management. 

  • Recognize both common and uncommon adverse reactions linked to first-line and second-line anti-tuberculosis drugs, with attention to their typical clinical features and onset patterns. 

  • Adopt a general approach to identifying and managing adverse drug reactions
