Speaker #1:  William Bobo, MD, MPH

Dr. Bobo is professor of psychiatry in the Department of Behavioral Science and Social Medicine at the Florida State University College of Medicine. He received his M.D. from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine and an MPH from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Prior to joining the faculty at FSU in 2024, he served as professor and chair, Department of Psychiatry & Psychology and as the Cecilia and Dan Carmichael Family Associate Director for the Center for Individualized Medicine at Mayo Clinic Florida. Dr. Bobo’s clinical and research interests are focused on the clinical management of difficult-to-treat depression and its correlates—including perinatal depression, perimenopausal depression, and occupational burnout—using randomized, observational, and asynchronous study designs. Dr. Bobo’s current interests also lie in the integration of machine learning and digital health tools with standard clinical and research measures to improve the lives of patients struggling with major affective syndromes or symptoms.
