Speech Biomarkers in Suicidal Adolescents
Sanskriti Mishra, M.B.B.S.

Dr. Sanskriti Mishra is second year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellow here at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester. She completed her medical school from Government Medical College, Nagpur in India. She then worked as a Research scholar in the Clinical Neuroscience Unit at the Emory University, followed by a General Psychiatry training from Case Western University MetroHealth System in Cleveland, Ohio. Her research interests are in understanding the neurological underpinnings of psychiatric disorders and development of objective biomarkers to aid assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders, particularly in the adolescent population. Dr. Mishra will be joining as an Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist in the Mayo Clinic Health System at Austin-Albert Lea following graduation.

Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Identify suicidal crisis in adolescents.
• Define speech biomarkers and describe their utilization in psychiatry.
• Recognize potential of speech biomarkers in assessment and treatment of suicidal adolescents.

TikTok and Mental Health
Daniel Montville, M.D.

Dr. Daniel Montville is a 4th year psychiatry resident at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He was born and raised in Eden Prairie, MN.  He studied Medical Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and went on to become a research scholar at the National Institute of Mental Health prior to obtaining his medical degree from Chicago Medical School.  After residency, Dr. Montville will be doing a combination of inpatient, outpatient, consult-liaison and emergency psychiatry. 

Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Define and describe TikTok.
• Recognize the significance of mental health content with TikTok.
• Recognize the use of TikTok as a tool for building mental health community, advocacy and education.
