Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
- Recognize what are the most common sources of dissatisfaction cited by patients and families enrolling in hospice.
- Appraise what the purpose of the Palliative Medicine Fellows QI Project is and how it might help better facilitate hand-off from the inpatient Palliative Medicine service to the inpatient hospice unit.
Bio:
Grace Lee is originally born in Korea but has lived most of her life in various parts around the world, including Nigeria where she spent most of her childhood growing up. She completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at Northwestern University, before studying medicine at the Medical School for International Health in Beer-sheva, Israel. She has since completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at St Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York. She is now currently undergoing her fellowship training in Palliative Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. She looks forward to continuing to advocate and care for patients with life-limiting illness using the training she has received at Mayo.
