HABIT Healthy Action to Benefit Independence & Thinking ® is a non-pharmacological intervention program developed at the Mayo Clinic to enhance independence and quality of life for individuals with MCI and their families. The training covers the five key components of HABIT and the scientific rationale behind each: Memory Compensation Training, Computerized Cognitive Training, Physical Exercise, Wellness Education and Support Groups.
Target Audience
This course will prepare clinicians to work with patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment and their support partners to help them implement non-pharmacological interventions to sustain independence and quality of life.

- Demonstrate how to use the HABIT memory support system (MSS)
- Implement health-behavior change strategies to motivate the patient and their partner to individualize implementation of HABIT tools and health behaviors after completion of training.
