Oncology Nursing Core Curriculum: Chemotherapy Symptom Management

This course focuses on the common side effects associated with chemotherapy and provides essential nursing strategies for managing treatment-related symptoms. The course also covers the medications frequently used alongside chemotherapy to manage side effects.
Target Audience
This CNE course is designed for nurses in hematology/oncology or who are interested in the specialty.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe common side effects of chemotherapy
- Identify nursing assessment and interventions to manage treatment-related symptoms
- Discuss medications used in conjunction with chemotherapy to help manage symptoms
