Bio:
Ryan Baldeo is a practicing physician assistant (PA) in hospice and palliative medicine (HPM) with experience in both community and academic medical centers for 7+ years. He attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate studies where he found a passion at the crossroads of health literacy, socioeconomic status, cultural variability, and medical practice in the United States, which catalyzed his interest in hospice and palliative medicine. He subsequently completed PA school at the University of Florida and began practicing in the specialty. To further supplement his education, he completed a Master of Science in Leadership and Administration in Palliative Care in 2020 and is actively pursuing a PhD in Palliative Care through the University of Maryland Baltimore. He has served and continues to serve as a PA leader in the specialty in multiple facets and was most recently appointed as the Exam Program Chair for the inaugural specialty certification exam for PAs in the field.
