Bio:
Jill Lovill has been passionate about supporting those with advanced illness since starting her career at the American Cancer Society in 2005 after earning her Bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy from Gonzaga University. She went on to earn her Masters in Social Work and began direct patient care at Mayo Clinic in 2010, working in hematology/oncology as well as spending 7 years in Palliative Medicine. She transitioned to bereavement work at Hospice of the Valley’s New Song Center in 2018 and currently serves as Clinical Director. She has two amazing children who are the loves of her life
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
- Identify characteristics of existential concerns
- Examine techniques for identifying said concerns
- Describe the process of an ‘Existential Crisis’
- Compare interventions for existential suffering
- Illustrate the importance of ‘creating the conditions’ to suffer
