DESCRIPTION
Neuro-Oncology Lecture/Teaching Conference is a weekly lecture on different facets of brain tumors. Its a fundamental topic that spans multiple medical and surgical disciplines including medical oncology, neuro-oncology, radiation oncology, cancer biology, physics and chemotherapeutics. The target audience is medical oncologists, neuro-oncologists, neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, physician midlevels (ARNP-PA), and nurses. The course will be internally advertised via e-mail to Mayo multidisciplinary staff.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the diagnostic approach to tumors of the brain and spinal cord and peripheral nervous system.
- Elucidate new neuro-oncology knowledge, clinical trials, cancer biology, and new treatment trials
- Outline different options for neuro-oncology treatment including corticosteroids, immunotherapy, chemo and nanomedicine therapy, radiotherapy and neurosurgery.
