  • Define artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) 

  • Identify the scope and applications of AI in breast pathology, especially in biomarkers interpretation 

  • Examine the potential role of AI-based automation in improving pathology overflows 

  • Summarize current challenges and some future opportunities of AI-based algorithms in breast pathology
