LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the simplest, least expensive and most efficacious Parkinson's disease treatment
  • Identify carbidopa/levodopa medication dosage strategy for initiating Parkinson's disease treatment
  • Recognize the changing dynamics of the levodopa response after a few years
  • Describe appropriate strategies for treating dyskinesia and later fluctuating levodopa responses
