Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Define the diagnostic criteria for acute pancreatitis
  • Evaluate severity and appropriately triage patients with acute pancreatitis
  • Develop an initial management and monitoring plan for patients with acute pancreatitis and its complications
  • Identify indications for drainage of peripancreatic collections
