LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Worldwide, Guidelines base selection for medical therapy for primary prevention based on the 10-year risk of ASCVD. The 10-year Risk model has improved prevention of ASCVD.
- However, the 10-year Risk model generally delays medical prevention until age 60, which allows disease to begin and develop unmolested.
- The 10-year Risk Model too often denies prevention for those under 60 who will have events before age 60.
