• Discuss limitations of bleeding risk assessment tools.
• Explain why certain patients who have elevated risk of falling may benefit from anticoagulation.
• Develop a strategy for assessing fall risk when considering initiation of anticoagulation in the hospital setting for atrial fibrillation or VTE.
