DESCRIPTION
Internal Medicine Grand Rounds includes regular updates in multiple areas of primary and subspecialty care. It highlights many areas including, not limited to colon, individualized medicine, genetics, regenerative medicine, humanities in medicine, advances in cancer care, and faculty development. New and diverse faculty are encouraged to present their areas of clinical focus and research.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended primarily for Department of Medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, other allied health staff, and administration.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize diagnosis, management and complications of common medical problems
- Demonstrate new frontiers within various specialties in medicine
- Examine novel therapies available for chronic diseases and cancer
- Identify the role of health care outcomes in medicine and its clinical impact
- Interpret the impact of humanities, genetics, individualized medicine, and artificial intelligence on clinical practice
