DESCRIPTION
The HPB Education Conference is comprised of three parts: didactic sessions (twice per month, one HPB specific and one multidisciplinary), a journal club (once monthly), and case presentations (once monthly). The HPB didactic session consists of a lecture based on the textbook Surgery of the Liver, Biliary Tract, and Pancreas - L.H. Blumgart - Fifth Edition. The topic for the Multidisciplinary didactic session will be determined by what specialty is scheduled to present. The intent of the journal club portion is to review and discuss literature in the area of HPB and Transplantation. The intent of the conference is to present cases for education but also each case such serve as a mechanism to stimulate research ideas. At the end of each case, the resident should be able to present current literature and a potential research idea.
In-Person and Live-Streamed; Weekly on Tuesday from 6:30-7:30 a.m.

Physicians and Resident Fellows.

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Review the state-of-the-art treatment strategies for abdominal solid tumors and hepatobiliary diseases.
- Evaluate the current literature-based practice-changing evidence.
