DESCRIPTION
This series will be offered quarterly on Tuesdays, Noon - 1 pm.  The target audience includes M.D., residents, fellows, and allied health; along with any interested students.

The Hematopathology Grand Rounds venue utilizes experts in the field of Hematopathology who are at the forefront of cutting edge diagnostic, ancillary and molecular techniques.  Presentations by a visiting professor focus on the advancement of the field of Hematopathology through diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic applications and the direct impact they have on quality patient care. This will enable exposure of our faculty, trainees, and allied health staff to a variety of perspectives on diagnostic and research-based hematopathology. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Develop a foundation of diagnostic Hematopathology concepts through molecular biology topics.
  • Utilize learned molecular biology and augmented intelligence concepts to diagnostic Hematopathology.
  • Apply diagnostic Hematopathology concepts to ensure proper lymphoma and leukemia diagnosis, classification, and cognizant tissue utilization techniques in order to optimize patient care.
