DESCRIPTION
This lecture and faculty development series provides faculty and program directors with an update to accreditation requirements and content consistent with the ACGME Clinical Learning Environment Reviews (CLER) program with a broad list of topics related to the CLER focus areas: Patient Safety, Health Care Quality, Care Transitions, Supervision, Well-Being, and Professionalism. Other topics include unconscious bias, approach to trainees with problems, and legal topics in medical education.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Cite the importance of the CLER program and its focus areas.
- Apply new program requirements.
- Integrate concepts of CLER into daily practice and into curriculum for trainees.
- Review Legal topics in Medical Education
