1. Assess the safety of continuing/discontinuing commonly used cardiac medications during the perioperative period for noncardiac surgery
2. Employ biomarkers to risk stratify patients for major adverse cardiac events in the perioperative period
3. Identify safest surgical timing in patients with atrial fibrillations, ischemic heart disease, and hypertension
