This one-day course features expert-led presentations on the latest advances in managing benign and malignant pancreatic diseases.  Designed to connect clinicians with leading pancreas specialists, it highlights innovative therapies and practical strategies to enhance patient care.

Target Audience

This course is designed for gastroenterologists, internal medicine physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and trainees (medical students, residents, fellows).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review evidence-based approaches for inpatient and outpatient management of acute pancreatitis.
  • Define diagnostic criteria and treatment options for exocrine pancreatic insufficiency.
  • Recall current drug therapies for acute pancreatitis, including management strategies for hypertriglyceridemia induced and immune mediated cases.
  • Distinguish appropriate indications and applications of genetic testing in the evaluation of pancreatitis.
  • Differentiate pancreatic cyst surveillance strategies based on malignancy risk stratification.
  • Recognize individuals at increased risk for pancreatic cancer and appropriate screening methods.
