Nutrition, physical activity and other healthy lifestyle behaviors are vital components in the promotion of health and in the treatment of disease. This program highlights ambulatory nutrition and wellness topics with multidisciplinary faculty. Current clinical topics are highlighted through presentations, interactive case studies and panel discussions. Participants have many opportunities for interaction with course faculty selected for their expertise, knowledge and clinical acumen.
Target Audience
This course is designed for physicians in general internal medicine, family medicine, and endocrinology. It may also be of interest to subspecialists interested in nutrition, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dietitians and health and wellness specialists.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify practical strategies to assess and manage medically-complicated obesity and related comorbidities.
- Select appropriate exercises that would benefit patients with limited or no access to an exercise facility.
- Recommend evidence-based dietary guidelines to patients with specific comorbidities, to include tips on food preparation.
- Recall ways to help patients improve sleep quality.

Rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests at the Miramonte Resort & Spa for discounted rates starting at $239/night. In order to receive the special rates, reservations must be made before August 15, 2025, or before the room block fills.
Room reservations after are based on space and rate availability. Please identify yourself as a participant of the Mayo Clinic Nutrition & Wellness course to receive the special rates. Additional taxes will apply.
Daily Resort Fee ($10):
The daily resort fee of $35 is discounted at a rate of $10 per room per night for all attendees staying at the resort. The fee includes the following:
