LEARNING OBJECTIVES
By the end of this seminar, the participant will be able to:
- Recognize the differences between in-hospital and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in terms of patient factors, environment, frequency and outcomes
- Explain the rationale for various innovative approaches to the management of out of hospital cardiac arrest
- Apply an understanding of the discussed approach to out-of-hospital cardiac arrest to the management of post-arrest or intra-arrest patients upon arrival to the emergency department
