Learning Objectives 

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:  

  • Describe the Impact of Medical Errors on Healthcare Providers: Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the emotional and psychological effects of medical errors on healthcare providers, often referred to as "second victims,".  

  • Recognize the Support Frameworks and Strategies at Mayo Clinic, including the HELP Program (Healing the Emotional Lives of Peers), proactive surveillance, and the Fair and Just Culture Framework.   

  • Evaluate and apply the hot debrief tool: Participants will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of the BONE Break hot debriefing tool, designed to reduce second victim symptoms among nurses. 

 

Participate on campus Davis Walker Auditorium or via Microsoft Teams. Recording will be available through the Video Exchange.
