Dr. Malhotra is Vice Chair of Medicine for Research at UCSD and Research Chief of Pulmonary Critical Care Sleep Medicine and Physiology.  He is former President of The American Thoracic Society.  He is active clinically and runs a large NIH funded laboratory with over 500 original plus >300 reviews/chapters since 2000.
