Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this presentation, you will be able to:

•Recognize physiologic, pharmacological, and psychosocial factors unique to transgender and gender diverse patients that influence assessment, monitoring, and clinical decision-making in critical care settings.
•Demonstrate inclusive and trauma-informed communication and interprofessional teamwork strategies that promote safety, dignity, and optimal clinical outcomes for transgender and gender diverse patients and their families in the ICU.
•Develop an evidence-based checklist that each ICU discipline can integrate into daily workflow to enhance gender-affirming, trauma-informed care for transgender and gender-diverse patients.
