LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- measure ranges of motion of the hip within the different planes of motion along with identify normal ranges.
- perform strength tests for the various muscle groups surrounding the hip using break testing to identify weaknesses when compared bilaterally.
- identify and perform the appropriate special tests when evaluating a hip injury.
- identify the most diagnostic special tests to utilize based on current research and the likelihood ratios.
- Recognize common injuries that occur at the hip
