TOPIC: Ultrasound of the Shoulder

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Discuss the process used for operating an MSK ultrasound to assess the shoulder (Domain 2, Tasks 0202)
• Discuss general shoulder anatomy commonly observed via MSK ultrasound in a sports medicine practice (Domain 2, Tasks 0202)
• Discuss how to interpret normal and abnormal pathology of the shoulder seen via MSK ultrasound in a sports medicine setting (Domain 2, Tasks 0202, 0203, 0204)
• Describe common diagnosis/conditions of the shoulder seen via MSK ultrasound in sports medicine and how best to assess these conditions using evidence based practice  (Domain 2, Tasks 0202, 0203, 0204, 0205)

Mayo Clinic School of Continuous Professional Development is approved by the Board of Certification, Inc. to offer continuing education for Certified Athletic Trainers.

This program is eligible for a maximum of 3 Category A hours/CEUs. ATs should claim only those hours actually spent in the educational program.

1) Sign the sign-in sheet at the actual session.

3) Login at ce.mayo.edu and go to My Account, My Courses, Registered Courses, click Session title and START to access and complete the required Evaluation. This should be done within a few days, or you may risk not being eligible for credit.
