DESCRIPTION
The Division of Community Internal Medicine’s weekly Tuesday Morning Conference is a CME accredited regularly scheduled (lecture) series focusing on evaluation and management of internal medicine/primary care medical syndromes.  Topics are presented by members of the Division or invited Mayo Clinic subspecialist guests.

TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is intended for Community Internal Medicine Staff Consultants, NPs, PAs, RNs, LPNs, Geriatric Fellows and IBH Group.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Identify, critically evaluate, select, and deliver practical, clinically-relevant medical practice to patients to provide evidence-based, cost-effective medical care with the greatest likelihood of optimal outcomes.
  • Improve medical knowledge base regarding the clinical features of common medical problems encountered in primary care medicine, thus enhancing early recognition of medical syndromes in evolution.
  • Incorporate and apply evidence-based guidelines and recommendations for diagnosis and treatment, in keeping with the goal of providing high value care.
