• Explain the rationale for ferritin cutoff of 45 mg/mL over 15 mg/mL for diagnosing iron deficiency anemia.
• Describe appropriate work-up for asymptomatic patient with iron deficiency anemia.
• Recognize when capsule endoscopy is indicated as part of work-up patient with iron deficiency anemia.
