DESCRIPTION
This activity will serve Clinical Athletic Trainers as a Journal Club format to better utilize research and evidence based practice to provide the best patient centered care.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Clinical Athletic Trainers, others with an interest or connection to athletic training are also welcome.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Explain the medical definition of eponyms for upper extremity, lower extremity, and general eponyms and the respective pathology (Domain 2, Task 0203 & 0205)
- Describe the pathophysiology of calcific tendinopathy. (Domain 2, Task: 0204 & 0205)
- Identify Common injuries that require splinting vs casting seen in the clinical setting (Domain 2, Task: 0204)
