LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Discuss the complex pathophysiology of acute COVID 19 infection and the cardiovascular system
  • Review the natural history and long-term effects of patients with evidence of cardiac injury during acute COVID
  • Review the controversy over the role of myocarditis as a cause for long-term symptoms
  • Emphasize what is still unknown in regard to long-haul COVID and the CV system
  • Provide a framework for future research into the known and unknowns regarding late CV disease in COVID survivors
