Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

  • Describe outcomes of AF ablation in patients with congenital heart disease
  • Recognize that in addition to pulmonary vein isolation, many patients undergo ablation of non-pulmonary vein triggers
  • Recognize that recurrences are most commonly atrial flutters
  • Review the anatomy and expected complications of partial atrioventricular septal defects
  • Describe the outcomes of our cohort of adults with partial atrioventricular septal defect repaired in childhood
  • Discuss potential mechanisms underlying their pathology and considerations for management
