Learning Objectives - Upon conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Define the common types of World Health Organization group 1 pulmonary hypertension.
  2. Recall the signs and symptoms of pulmonary arterial hypertension. 
  3. Apply the most commonly used medical therapies to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.
  4. Analyze the diagnostic requirements for a diagnosis of pulmonary arterial hypertension and the significance of vasoreactivity testing.
