02/15/2023 - 7:30am to 8:30am

ACC Presenters

Presenter: Bryan Vallejo Balladares, M.D.

Title: Diastolic function assessment in non-Hodgkin lymphoma patients by different cumulative doses of anthracyclines.
Learning Objective: Review the role that anthracyclines play on the diastolic function of the heart in NHL patients.

Presenter: Andres Daryanani Acevedo

Title: Is systolic and diastolic function including global longitudinal strain by echocardiography compromised in adult patients treated with cd19 car t-cell therapies for hematological malignancies in those that developed cytokine release syndrome?
Learning Objective: Review echocardiographic parameters associated with the development of high-grade CRS.

Presenter: Sebastian Santos Patarroyo, M.D.

Title: Echocardiographic predictors of 18-month all-cause mortality in cancer patients (prior chest radiotherapy and chemotherapy vs chemotherapy only vs controls) that underwent TAVR for severe aortic stenosis.
Learning Objective: Identify mortality differences between patients with prior exposure to radiotherapy and chemotherapy and without this exposure after TAVR, as well as recognize echocardiographic predictors of mortality related with the procedure in this special population.

Presenter: Rafael Toro Manotas

Title: Influence of chest radiotherapy on diastolic function assessment during stress echocardiography in cancer patients and its relationship with exercise capacity and mortality after 15 years of treatment completion.
Learning Objective: Discuss the change of the diastolic function profile at rest and during exercise in patients with history of chest RT and its relationship with clinical outcomes.

Presenter: Elias Akiki

Title:
New is not always better: treatment of non-bacterial thrombotic endocarditis.

Learning Objective: Anticoagulation choice in Non-Bacterial thrombotic endocarditis.

Presenter: Betsy Medina Inojosa, M.D.

Title:
Testing the real-world utility of bayes’ theorem when using an artificial intelligence-enabled electrocardiogram algorithm for detection of left ventricular systolic dysfunction.

Learning Objective: Discuss how pre-test probabilities affect the diagnostic performance of an Artificial Intelligence-Enabled Electrocardiogram Algorithm to detect low EF.
