DESCRIPTION
These will be held approximately quarterly on either a Tuesday or Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. CST for faculty from all cancer-related disciplines, clinical and research trainees, administration staff, and allied health staff.
These sessions are available via Zoom Webinar, Live Webcast, and are recorded on the Video Exchange for later viewing.
The Mayo Clinic Cancer Center (MCCC) Grand Rounds series brings together internal and external experts, innovators, and thought leaders to present cancer-related content to enhance the cancer practice, research, and education at the Mayo Clinic.
TARGET AUDIENCE
M.D., nurses, N.P., P.A., basic researchers, fellows and trainees
Upon conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- With regard to patient care, understand the impacts of recent developments in key clinical areas of hematology, oncology, palliative care, surgical oncology and radiation oncology.
- Gain additional insight into challenging diagnoses and therapies through the presentation of cases pertinent to hematology-oncology, palliative care, surgical oncology and radiation oncology.
- Discuss research efforts occurring in the cancer center (internal). Understand and discuss advances in laboratory, translational and clinical research in the field of cancer.
- Emphasize quality improvement and practice optimization.
